Acupuncture could help!
“How does acupuncture help with so many conditions?” Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treats the body as a whole system. Acupuncture stimulates the nervous system which controls all organs and bodily functions, as well as pain perception and emotional regulation. Insertion of acupuncture needles releases opioids (the body’s natural painkillers), endorphins (associated with pain and stress), and reduces inflammation.
All of our treatment methods are rooted in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine). Our services include:
Expect your initial appointment to take 60-75 minutes, and follow-ups to be 45-60 minutes long.
Sterile, single use, thin (width of human hair) needles are used.
You can find more information on this ancient medicine under the “How does acupuncture work?” section.
Acupuncture
This therapy was developed in China in the 1930’s and uses a mild electric current to stimulate acupuncture points.
The VA shared a study that found EA eases pain by stimulating stem cell release, promoting tissue repair. See article under “Commonly treated conditions” section.
Electroacupuncture
Cupping
Another ancient TCM practice. Glass cups are heated and placed on the skin, creating suction.
Cupping increases blood-flow, releases endorphins, can detoxify, increase range of motion, and help with pain and relaxation.
An ancient technique that is part of TCM. Today, a nonmedical version of gua sha is a popular at-home cosmetic routine. This is different.
A smooth tool is used on the skin to break up scar tissue, tight fascia (connective tissue), promote lymph drainage, and increase circulation which encourages healing mechanisms in the body.
Gua Sha
Recognized in the 1960’s as beneficial for hair regrowth and wound healing, this trending therapy is included as a part of every treatment session.
Inflammation, general pain, muscular recovery, and collagen promotion are a few things that red light therapy can help with.

-Microneedling- Coming soon!
-Microneedling- Coming soon!
Microneedling involves using ultra fine needles to make tiny punctures in the skin, initiating collagen and elastin production.
This can reduce scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, large pores, and improve overall skin tone and texture.
During treatments, acupuncturists use Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to diagnose a pattern based on signs the body is showing. Treatments can help redirect the body if a pattern has strongly taken hold and can be preventative, too! Things like being hot or cold often, frequent urination, painful periods, or night sweats may seem minimal, but they point to imbalance and can be corrected to prevent the pattern from developing and causing future issues. Let's get you "tuned up"!Our mission

YOU’RE IN GOOD HANDS
Claire grew up out in the country just south of Northfield. She traveled during business school which sparked an interest in the helping field. Claire spent several years throughout college working as a waitress where she learned a lot about people and being attentive to their needs. Claire became a true caretaker when her dad was suffering from early-onset dementia. After acupuncture helped her with headaches and sciatic nerve pain, she had to learn more!
Claire received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN and is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. She is also certified in Clean Needle Technique.
Traveling off the beaten path and meeting the locals, dancing, skiing, hiking, and playing cards are some of Claire’s favorite activities. She’s so excited to meet you!
